Do I need to stop taking my supplements or medications before a heart health and diabetes test?

Genex Diagnostics does not recommend changing or stopping any medications or supplements without first consulting a healthcare provider. It is recommended that you follow a stable diet for two weeks prior to sample collection for each of the heart health and diabetes tests. In addition, fasting for 12 - 14 hours prior to sample collection will provide a more accurate measurement of your triglyceride levels. We recommend sample collection in the morning after an overnight fast.
